Mission Critical Cooling Products

This is a high end unit with 4 scroll compressors, 2 refrigerant circuits, and also TWO Separate plate HEAT exchangers and 2 pumps for mission critical cooling applications. The unit has both low and high ambient options and is outdoor rated, so it can run year round in climates from -20°F up to 122°F. Features a 100 gallon insulated Reservoir, remote monitor/control with cable for indoor control, and uses R407C refrigerant. Run and tested completely at our 13,000 square foot facility prior to shipping, and offered with money back guarantee. Arrived at KIG in June 2015 was this super nice 2008 Carrier Aquasnap Air Cooled Chiller loaded with options. Equally fine for comfort cooling or other manufacturing operations. It is outdoor rated, has dual compressor, and minimum load control for efficient operation. This chiller was run and tested at our Massachusetts facility extensively.

TopChiller® has served customers from over 58 countries and regions. All of our air cooled screw chillers come with an 24-month warranty and we are always to offer lifetime technical support to our valued clients. With single main rotors and mufflers built inside, TopChiller® air cooled screw chillers are able to reduce sound levels and vibration to the minimum when they are either running at part load or full load conditions. Don’t short-circuit the protected air cooled screw chiller, otherwise, It will cause serious problems. The refrigerant filled by weight may be affected by ambient temperature. In this case, turn off the fluorine container valve temperately temporarily, let cooling water circulating in the evaporator and startup the unit, at the same time, short-circuit low-pressure controller temporarily.

Our ThermoFlex™ Recirculating Chiller is configurable and have a cooling capacity up to 24,000 watts (81,948 btu/hr). Contact us today and a representative will find a chiller that’s right for you. Each chiller’s natural gas engine drives a reciprocating-type piston compressor, as part of a standard vapor compression refrigeration system. TECOCHILL’s RT Series chillers utilize environmentally friendly HFC-404a refrigerant. It’s very important to check if there is a standard air cooled screw chiller model that just can meet your requirements and achieve maximum profitability for the production process. After a long period of time the air cooled screw chiller shutdown, the following preparation work has to be done first before restarting this air cooled screw chiller unit.

Air-cooled chillers and water-cooled chillers both perform under similar principles to transfer heat and create a cooler environment. However, air-cooled chillers can be installed outside, which means there is no need for physical space for air-cooled chillers. Air-cooled chillers can be also found in the beverage processing industry. The pasta and food need to be cooled down rapidly when processing at high temperatures. In the laser cutting industry, the air-cooled chiller is mainly used in laser machines, such as laser marking and engraving machines, laser welding machines, laser printers, laser cutting machines. This process can increase the density and smoothness of the products. As a result, the production efficiency of molding machines is significantly upgraded by air-cooled chillers. Air-cooled chillers can greatly improve the surface of plastic products, eliminate surface marks, and relieve the internal stress of plastic products. The outer of this water tank also should be covered with heavy insulation.

Every Single Stage packaged chiller incorporates a single compressor design. Air-cooled chillers use ambient air to remove heat from your processes by expelling heat from the refrigeration circuit through the condenser. The units have attached air fans to help expedite the cooling process. Air-cooled chillers can be used in various industrial applications, including medical, brewery, laboratories, injection molding, and more. If you want to use these systems in a microbrewery or power plant, combining a large chiller with a sizable cooling tower allows for highly efficient cooling. If you have the budget needed for the up-front costs of these two systems, you should save a significant amount of money in the future. If you’re using these systems at a power plant, it’s possible to create a central-cooling facility by placing the water-cooled chiller on the lowest floor of the building or the air-cooled chiller on the roof.

These fans represent the main difference between air cooled and water cooled chillers. As they move air across the condenser, unwanted heat is removed from the system so the cycle can start all over again. Air cooled chillers are located externally to a facility and have condenser coils cooled by fan-driven air. Water cooled chillers are usually located internally and water is recycled to a heat sink or external cooling method. The external cooling method can include a cooling tower or in some cases, a water fed cooling system, which is more efficient at heat rejection. Water Cooled chillers are also used frequently to refrigerate facilities of all kinds, cooling products and machinery among other applications. Water Cooled chillers often are used with a cooling tower or adiabatic system. Our TECOCHILL® “RT Series” product line offers air-cooled engine-driven packaged chillers with 50 tons of cooling capacity.

The difference between air cooled and water cooled chillers is that air chillers use ambient air as the condensing source and a fan that moves the air over the coil. Water chillers on the other hand use water as the condensing source and a pump that circulates water through the condenser out to the cooling tower that releases it into the atmosphere. This GCI Icewagon 13 ton Air Cooled Chiller arrived into KIG’s shop in May 2014. We have cleaned and painted the unit, and done any repairs and checks as needed. It has been run and tested and was offered with a money back guarantee. It is 460 Volt, has a Danfoss/Maneurop 13 hp sealed reciprocating compressor which we have had great luck with on chillers in the past. Chiller has hot gas bypass option so as to keep compressor running a bit longer when there is a lower load on the system, which reduces the amounts of starts and stops on the system. This unit does not have an on-board reservoir tank, but could easily integrate with your storage/buffer tank as the inlet to the chiller goes right to the suction side of pump.

The refrigerant then enters the evaporator and will pass through a series of horizontal tubes which are surrounded by the “chilled water” and these will flow in the opposing, counter flow to each other. By the time the refrigerant leaves the evaporator, it will have picked up the unwanted heat from the return chilled water and will leave as a low pressure, low temperature saturated vapour. The chilled water will have given its thermal energy up to the refrigerant and will leave around 6°C (42.8°F). The refrigerant is the only fluid which moves around each of the components of the chiller. It changes its pressure, temperature, enthalpy and entroy as it moves around the machine and transports the unwanted heat away from the evaporator chilled water. From 25% to 100%, the system is always exactly the right size for the job. See the details of Chiltrix high efficiency chiller heat pump technology.

We don’t just offer one brand; instead, our chillers are made from the biggest and best brands. Please contact TopChiller expert to get a price list of an air-cooled chiller.
